Tombeau De Messiaen: Piano Score Jonathan Harvey
Harvey's work draws on the post-war European avant-garde, and 'synthesises this with deeply felt spiritual befiefs and the imaginative use of the raw elements of music' (Joanna MacGregor).
This work is for piano and CD. The tape part retunes the piano, so that there are microtonal tensions between the live piano and the tape and a close contrapuntal relationship between the two.
