Scaley Monsters is a comprehensive guide to scale practice for young musicians (grades 1-2) by one of the UK's most highly regarded string teachers and educational writers, Mary Cohen.
Each scale and arpeggio is accompanied by a Dinosaur footprint map, indicating finger patterns, with lots of handy tips incuding rhythmic variants. Each scale also has a special solo piece in the same key, using the scale and arpeggio patterns, so that the young players can understand the importance of scale practice, and how it relates to successful performance.
Delightfully illustrated throughout with dinosaur cartoons, guaranteed to take the performance out of practice!
